Talent Showcase
If you missed the show last year you should be sad! WOW! It was an amazing display, complete with famous announcers, an amazing host, big screens and a fog machine. We know our kids are pretty amazing so come on out and enjoy the show this year!

We always need more volunteers for this event, however acts are required to have a parent (or other coach) with them at every practice. Parents please use this time to practice and work with your child on his/her act.
SPECIAL REMINDER: We have the use of the gym for additional practice space too! We understand wanting to sit and watch all of the acts practice but it's more important that you spend this rehearsal time with your performer. Please note that your child can NOT roam around the school grounds unattended during practice! We have had constant issues with kids being unsupervised and it puts added work on the director and volunteers to be supervising performers. If you have performed and practiced enough for the day please feel free to leave practice.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR 2011:
The Talent Showcase Rehearsals are in full affect! We have a few important updates for everyone:
1. Practices are on Tuesday/Thursday for the next two weeks -NOT FRIDAYS. From 3-5pm. These practices are mandatory and Thursday the 21st will be the dress rehearsal. Please be sure your performer attends! All performers should be at the school by 5pm on the 22nd, dressed and pumped up for a great show!!!
2. Submit your ART!!!Calling ALL Chief Joe Artists!
The Talent Showcase is on April 22nd We want to put your art on display!
Please grab a form from the PTA info table (by the bulletin board with the big umbrella –near the office) OR by clicking this link: TS ART SUBMIT FORM and let us know that you want to submit some of your awesome art to the show!
You will have to have your work finished by April 15th for it to be considered ready for the show so get to work!
(You can also submit art you have already made too!)

3. We will be "selling" tickets this year; in order to cover increasing production costs of this amazing event we will have a suggested ticket price of $2/person at the door the night of the event. This event always has a packed house so arrive early to guarantee a good seat!

Seeking Volunteers to Help Out! We are looking for parent volunteers to help with coaching and managing the kids during practice. If you are available TUESDAYS OR THURSDAYS for the next two weeks (3-5pm) OR if you can help anytime with costumes, sets, or props we would love to have your help. We also need help for just the night of the event; jobs include: set up, ticket sales, staffing the art show, stage management, and clean up!
We need support with:
Keeping the kids in order
Coaches for kids who don't have a parent or guardian available(you would have to commit to every practice here)
Help with stage managment
Help with costumes
Help with sets
Help with poster distribution
Help with general organization
Help with organizing and setting up the visual arts portion of the show (framing, hanging presenting the art work)
Help the night of the event, especially technical support
