What does night of magic raise money for?
The Auction raises funds for the Arts & Sciences Committee. This committee provides the after school and in school enrichment programs for the students at Chief Joseph Elementary. In the past some of these classes have been; Puppet making, Fundamentals of Fine Arts, Break Dancing, OMSI Sciences, Theatre of Mime, Ethos Drumming and Guitar, and more!
We also use these funds to provide family activity nights and enrichment programs during class time. These programs include art teachers in the classrooms, OMSI Science Fairs and more.
How much are the tickets?
Tickets are $25 each. The include admission, food, beverages, entertainment and a bidder number. We encourage you to also sell tickets (or buy tickets) for friends and family members and make it an annual tradition!
Where is the auction going to be held this year?
The Auction will be held at the Disjecta in Kenton. www.disjecta.org This is a neighborhood venue that offers an elegant gallery style location for our auction. And we can walk home afterwards too! Disjecta is located at 8371 N Interstate Avenue in the shadow of Paul Bunyan.
What time does it start?
The event starts promptly at 6:30pm and ends at 10pm. It includes both a silent and live auction so timing is everything!
What can I do to help?
There are so many ways to help! This is a great way for busy working parents to help CJ!
The most important way is by procuring donations for the auction. We need creative, fun items that can be listed in our silent auction. Things like gift certificates, autographed sports items, signed books or cd's, tickets to events, handmade items like quilts, clothing, accessories, house wares or art; jewelry, wine, restaurant gift certificates and more!
We also need larger, more grand items for our live auction! Things like trips to the beach house, mountain cabin or other vacation locations. Tickets to concerts. Arts and Craft items. Services from professionals like Dentists, specialists, financial planners, and more!
No idea is a bad idea!
